BRAVEHEARTS aims to forge a ?movement for change? in how paedophilia is dealt with by the criminal justice sector, government and the community at large and to provide survivors with a voice. Advocating for both healing and preventative strategies, Bravehearts provides comprehensive counselling for child and adult survivors of child sexual assault, and is actively involved in education, prevention, early intervention and research programs.

Established in September 2004, The Pyjama Foundation recruits, screens, trains and supports community volunteers - Pyjama Angels - to read to children in foster care on a weekly basis. The program offers foster carers support and a well-deserved respite. Our Pyjama Angels provide extra reading experiences for children in care to increase the number of books read to them. This will:

  • improve their levels of literacy
  • inspire a love of learning
  • instill a belief in self-worth
  • help them to be confident people valued by society

The positive results from this is absolutely amazing!

The Hear and Say Centre is one of the leading Paediatric Auditory-Verbal and cochlear implant centres in the world, teaching children who are deaf or hearing impaired to listen and speak since 1992. The Centre aims for its children to achieve speech and language in the normal range for their age by six years of age giving them the opportunity for a mainstream education, employment of choice and social integration with the hearing world. This is a picture of cute little Fatima who we sponsored this year and we intend to sponsor at least one child per year.
